Why this didn't win the competition to redesign Ground Zero is a mystery.
Still, Libeskind's website is very good, surely the home of a fine intelligence.
Or a profound bullshitter.
Still, you gotta adore the signature spikiness of his buildings. They're very pretty. Architecture in the UK has gone a little stale - all that pipes on the outside cutesiness makes buildings look like toilets, not soaring, aspirational temples. Love or loathe Libeskind, at least he's trying to make buildings that we'll wonder at.
Still, what do I know about art? Not much. But I do know what I like.

Make no mistake, libeskind is pure, 100% bullshit. Consider the facts:
1. He hired another architect to design his home in New York.
2. People hear Libeskind is a Genius, but it is Libeskind himself who makes the claim. No one else does ... they are to busy laughing at the schmuck.
3. If he is truly creative, how come all of his buildings look the same? "The Spiral" that london rejected, ended up as "The Crystal" in Toronto. And thank God they got stuck with it instead of London.
