So. Cannabis use has gone down after reclassification to Class C, users moderate their income and there has been no increase in schizophrenia to match the increase in use of the drug in this generation. The panel of experts asked to look into it say that reclassification is not a good idea. But Gordon Brown wants to "send a message to the kids".
What message does Brown think he is going to send by
reclassifying it upward?
I know. "Gordon Broon is a fucking eejit."

UPDATE: "Scientists to Broon: You are a fucking eejit."
LOL at the Tories:
"The government's lax approach to drugs is the hallmark of our broken society under Labour," he told MPs.
Yeah, because locking up potsmoking fucktards like me will really heal society. We are menaces to society, with our hashish-fuelled rampages and... oh man, completely forgot to smash the place up because my mind, erm, wandered.

They're right, it is a gateway drug: A gateway to understanding that government is generally not in our interest.
boots sez:
It should be laughable but it's taken too seriously for that... all one can do is shrug and go about life.
Kids are only young, they're not stupid. They understand without being told that "sending a message" means "imposing my values".
Stupidity comes later on, somewhat before they decide to become politicians and be everyone's daddy.

We used to think it was no big deal but now we're saying it gets you off.
Surely somebody must have pointed this out to him?
I liked that. But also "this stuff that you smoke every week and know is no big thing is nearly as dangerous as it gets".
How do kids not end up thinking "if that's B, and it's nothing, why not 'graduate' to A?"?
